These Terms and Conditions govern all plumbing and gas services provided by Link Plumbing and Gas Service. By requesting a quote, booking a job or allowing work to commence, the Client agrees to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
Client means the person, business or entity engaging Link Plumbing to carry out works.
Contractor means Link Plumbing and Gas Service, its employees and authorised sub-contractors.
Works means all plumbing, gasfitting, maintenance, installation or related services carried out by the Contractor.
Goods means all parts, components, materials and equipment supplied.
2. Payment Terms
Payment is due immediately upon completion of Works unless otherwise agreed in writing.
All Goods remain the property of Link Plumbing until full payment is received (retention of title).
If payment is not made, the Contractor may take reasonable steps to recover unpaid Goods and charge:
interest at 10 percent per annum on overdue amounts, and
all costs associated with debt recovery, including legal fees.
The Contractor may suspend further Works if payment obligations are not met.
3. Pricing, Quotes and Variations
All quotes are estimates only and based on visible conditions at the time of inspection.
The Contractor may adjust pricing where:
concealed, unknown or unsafe conditions are found
additional parts, labour or compliance work is required
the Client changes the scope of Works
Variations will be communicated to the Client before continuing.
Hourly rates, service fee and material charges apply where fixed-price quotes do not apply.
4. Deposits
Deposits secure bookings and cover administration, scheduling and preparation costs.
Deposits are non refundable except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
Works will not be scheduled until the deposit is received.
5. After Hours, Emergency and Public Holiday Rates
Higher rates apply for Works conducted outside standard business hours.
Minimum attendance charges may apply for emergency call outs.
6. Access to Site
The Client must provide full, safe and unobstructed access to perform the Works.
If access is restricted, unsafe or delayed, the Contractor may charge additional fees.
Pets must be secured and hazards disclosed in advance.
7. Warranty
The Contractor provides a 12-month workmanship warranty from the invoice date unless stated otherwise.
Warranty applies only to the specific Works and location listed on the invoice.
Warranty does not apply to:
manufacturer defects or product faults
wear and tear, misuse or lack of maintenance
issues unrelated to the original Works
Works altered or repaired by anyone other than the Contractor
The Client must provide the original invoice for any warranty claim.
Where a defect is not covered by warranty, standard fees apply.
8. Inspection and Notification of Defects
The Client must inspect the Works upon completion.
Any defects or concerns must be notified in writing within 48 hours.
The Contractor will inspect the alleged defect within 7 business days and, if required, will rectify the Works within a reasonable time.
If the issue is not related to the Contractor’s Works, the Client must pay all associated fees.
9. Dangerous, Non-Compliant or Unsafe Installations
If the Contractor identifies unsafe or non compliant plumbing or gas systems, the Contractor may be legally required to:
shut down, isolate or repair the issue immediately
refuse to reconnect unsafe fixtures or appliances
Additional charges apply for any required safety-related Works.
The Contractor is not responsible for pre existing safety hazards.
10. Concealed Services and Pre Existing Conditions
The Client must inform the Contractor of any concealed pipes, wiring, tanks, drains or structural conditions.
The Contractor is not liable for:
damage to concealed services not visible or disclosed
failure of old or fragile plumbing that occurs during normal work
defects caused by pre existing faults or non compliant installations
11. Approvals, Permits and Compliance Obligations
The Client is responsible for obtaining all required council permits, licences and approvals.
The Contractor complies with all relevant laws, regulations and Australian Standards.
The Contractor may refuse to carry out Works where conditions are unsafe or non compliant.
12. Waste Removal and Materials
Standard packaging and waste will be removed unless agreed otherwise.
Additional charges apply for disposal of:
old hot water units
heavy or bulky items
excessive waste materials
Materials left on site for more than 7 days become the Client’s responsibility unless otherwise arranged.
13. Client-Supplied Materials
The Contractor may refuse to install Client-supplied materials.
No warranty is provided for materials supplied by the Client.
If materials are incorrect, faulty or unsuitable, additional labour may be charged.
14. Drain Clearing Limitations
Mechanical drain clearing does not guarantee permanent results.
Old, damaged or root-infested pipes may collapse during clearing.
The Contractor is not liable for damage to defective drains or sewer infrastructure.
CCTV inspections may be recommended at additional cost.
15. Hot Water System Requirements
Hot water units must comply with Australian Standards including temperature control and valve requirements.
Additional parts or upgrades may be required for compliance.
Compliance upgrades may be charged as variations if not identifiable during quoting.
16. Photographs and Documentation
The Contractor may take photographs for compliance, safety, record keeping and quality assurance.
Photos will not be used publicly without consent from the Client.
17. Use of Personal Information
The Client agrees that their information may be used for administration, booking updates, service reminders and marketing communications.
The Client may opt out at any time.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Contractor is not liable for:
indirect, special or consequential loss
loss of use, loss of profit or loss of opportunity
damage caused by pre existing defects, wear and tear or misuse
failures outside the Contractor’s scope of Works
The Contractor’s total liability is limited to the total price paid for the Works.
19. Indemnity
The Client indemnifies the Contractor against all claims, damages or losses arising from:
unsafe site conditions
concealed or undisclosed services
instructions provided by the Client
use of client supplied materials
20. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for delays or failures due to events outside their reasonable control, including natural disasters, storms, fires, floods, war, terrorism, supply shortages, industrial action or government restrictions.
21. Travel and Distance Charges
Additional travel fees may apply for locations outside the Contractor’s standard service area.
22. QR Code Promotions
One QR promotion per household.
New client offers apply only to new customers, excludes materials.
Promotions cannot be combined with other discounts.
23. Right to Amend Terms
Link Plumbing may update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Continued engagement with our services constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.

Our 2-hour arrival goal applies only when scheduling, travel conditions and staff availability allow. While we always aim to meet this, it is not a guaranteed service window. This commitment does not apply during peak demand, extreme weather, public holidays, or for bookings made outside of standard business hours. Travel times may vary based on your location in the Perth metro area and surrounding suburbs.
